Tina and I met in 2003 in Rockford, IL. There we attended a ministry training program called Rockford Master’s Commission for three years and then started college. Tina graduated from nursing school in August of 2008, and we married that same month! I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies from Lee University in 2010, and we began working toward the call to missions God had given us.
In the fall of 2013, while working on staff at Focus One (formerly Rockford Master's Commission), the door opened for us to serve with a family in Indonesia and pursue a dream 15 years in the making. We moved to Indonesia in 2015 and served in a local campus outreach and English Center as we learned the language and culture, and trained under career missionaries Jamie and Tasha Kemp. Our main focus during this season was reaching the lost on college campuses in Yogyakarta, Indonesia's University Capital, where over 500,000 students from every island and people group go to study each year.
In 2017, we were invited to return to the United States to pursue ordination and career appointment as Missionaries to Indonesia. We are currently ministering to churches and sharing our passion for missions as we raise support to return to Indonesia in early 2018. We are eager to return so we can continue to share the love and good news of Jesus Christ among the millions of Indonesians in over 200 Unreached People Groups who might otherwise never hear.
